Reflectors as highlights at the L+B

They were clamouring to see them: the new asymmetrical RMJ wall downlights from Bartenbach that are flush-mounted in the ceiling. Some must have been secretly wishing they were the ones with a product like Unico — a light system that clearly lives up to its name.

Reflectors as the new asymmetrical RMJ wall downlights from Bartenbach that are flush-mounted in the ceiling were among the ultimate highlights of Light + Building.

The biennial trade show of the lighting industry is done and dusted for another two years, and all of the noble promises that many a project team will have made themselves during the six-day event, like “next time we’ll do it all differently and we’ll start a lot earlier” will probably have been packed away by now and stored in the recesses of the collective mind. But in any event, the whole thing was a roaring success! And not only that — we had the extra special honour this time (as well as the challenge) of being a realisation partner in projects that took centre stage at Light + Building. One thing’s for sure though — when the competition is rolling up to your own exhibition stand at ten-minute intervals to check out the precision directional light control of a wall downlighter like the RMJ, you know you don’t need to worry about your USP!

Reflectors happened to come under the spotlight at L+B, and they are also the basis of the product which proved to be a clear winner not only at the trade show, but also in the race to come up with the most exciting innovation at Light + Building. The name says it all: with XAL’s Unico, lighting planners and architects have a uniquely powerful downlighting programme at their fingertips that gives them the choice of two mounting options, six different designs, nine lighting inserts, three colour temperatures and three control options, all of which can be combined to suit individual needs. Unico also incorporates Bartenbach know-how, and we were pleased to prove our worth once again as a rock-solid realisation partner. We have to admit that when the lights went on in the exhibition centre, we were just a tad proud of having been able to collaborate on such a visionary project — and we can’t wait to see what challenges the next L+B will bring.
