Even to the end, you were in a hurry and had so many plans. We treasure the fact that we have known you and that you have supported and accompanied us with tremendous energy and reassurance along an important stretch of each of our paths. For that, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

"Meet the Experts" at opticomp’s stand at Light + Building - 4.0 A16

We are looking forward to welcoming you at Light + Building on Monday, 19th March, when you can talk to our construction expert, Eugen Dentler. Wednesday, 21st March will be all about optical design.

As one editor-in-chief wrote to me the other day, the run-up to the trade fair is a bit like the fifth season with carnival thrown in - everything goes crazy. So, on that basis, welcome to the fifth season!

Career jump in the opticomp team

Since the beginning of February, Lukas Scharf has been managing the business operations of kdg opticomp alongside owner, Michael Hosp.

He juggles components just as elegantly and adeptly as he handles quotations and flow charts. And he particularly loves to banter with his counterparts, always responding with a lightning-fast retort and a slightly mischievous smile on his face.

When it suddenly feels like Christmas at kdg campus ...

... it’s high time, to say thank you for your trust and partnership. Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful Christmas break, and all the best for 2018.

Rapid Prototyping for Micro-fluidics

The manufacturing process for reproducing micro-structures for optical applications can also be transferred to lab-on-a-chip systems.

What has proved successful for optical structures should basically work just as well for micro-fluidic and lab-on-a-chip systems.

At Compamed for the 4th time

As in previous years you will find us at the Austrian Federal Chamber of Commerce’s group booth, Advantage Austria.

From the 13th to the 16th of November, Düsseldorf will once again be the hub of the medical and health sector, at the world's leading trade fairs in this industry, Medica and Compamed.

Or visit us in Essen

Here, the first lighting technology show will be taking place from 10 to 12 October. You can meet us at stand 1-215 and at 11.30 am in the Talk Lounge on all three days of the expo.

People are naturally always excited and nervous before premières, and so are we. So, we would like to cordially invite you, once again, to the new lighting technology trade fair for systems, components and construction elements in the lighting industry from 10-12 October 2017 in Essen.

See you at the LpS?

This week we'll be getting into the Lechtal valley spirit again at the Bregenz Festspielhaus, where Alexander Wörle will be talking on his favourite topic: the right mix of materials.

The programme is even bigger than before, as there's finally a new addition this year with TIL Trends in Lighting, an event format especially for architects, lighting planners, electronics and IoT experts. We would therefore like to briefly point out two very important things.

From Bregenz to Düsseldorf

Our really hot Summer is being followed by a sizzling hot Autumn trade fair season. From the end of September onwards, we will be almost constantly on the road. First, it's LpS, from the 26th – 28th of Sept., then Lighting Technology from the 10th – 12th of Oct.; and lastly, Compamed, from the 13th – 16th of Nov. 2017. We're excited, and looking forward to it.

The Magic Word is Co-Creation

At the 18th General Meeting of bayern photonics, at the end of July, Michael Hosp consciously presented kdg "the other way round", with a keynote speech on co-creation, giving his listeners a practical demonstration there and then.
